Please join us in prayer for Medway Celebrate by using the following
daily prayer guide. We appreciate there are
already many " demands "
on each of our prayer times and indeed we would politely suggest that if you
only have " room "
for either the Medway Towns Guide or this one, you
would stick with the area guide.
We are of course very open to receiving any words etc., you feel God
gives you for the work here.
Thank you.
Mondays - Town
centre workers - Pray for all Christians working in the town centre area, that
God would strengthen them in their daily work and help them to stand as
witnesses to their colleagues. Pray that many will be released / have the desire
to meet in lunch times to pray and / or worship together and provide prayer
covering for their co-workers.
Tuesdays - Shoppers
and visitors - Pray for those who regularly shop and visit Chatham midweek and for
opportunities for the Gospel to be shared with them whilst in town. Pray for all
who have seen / heard our open air Celebrates over the years, that God would
water and give increase to the seeds planted then.
Wednesdays - Worship
leaders and speakers - Lord, we pray for all those who come to lead and share
with us each week. We ask that You would speak clearly to their hearts, that they
will come in humble submission to You and through the power of the Holy Spirit
lead us into your presence. Amen.
Thursdays - Prayer
Net - Pray for the vision of a Prayer Net to be established in many believers lives,
that we would see an increase in the number of Christians praying daily with and
for their neighbours and getting prayerfully involved with their local schools
and other community gathering places.
Fridays - Celebrate
helpers - Thank you Lord for all those able to give their time in making
Wednesdays happen. We ask that You would keep us all focused on serving and
loving You and not allow practical necessities to interfere with Your plans. We
ask too that You would call more folk to share in this work. Amen.
Saturdays - Town
authorities - Pray for all those charged with the responsibility for the town centre
area ( Pentagon management, forum members, store directors, police, councillors etc.,),
that God would bless and direct them in their work. Pray for crime to fall and a sense
of community pride to be over the area as it undergoes regeneration work.

Subsequent to a prayer conference in early February at Ashburnham for various
British and Irish prayer leaders. " At the conference leaders from both the
Lydia Fellowship and UCB informed us that they felt a day should
be set apart to seek God on behalf of the nation. We all sensed that this is a
critical time for the United kingdom. Both organisations ( and was done under
the umbrella of The Evangelical Alliance ) quite independently chose
24th March as the day to PRAY AND REPENT FOR THE APATHY OF THE CHURCH IN ALLOWING
SO MUCH TO TAKE PLACE THAT IS ANTI-GOD, ANTI-CHRISTIAN AND ANTI-FAMILY. "
Looking around MEDWAY we couldn't have put it any better than that!
Please continue to use this as an ongoing prayer concern.

Continuing the urgent calls to pray about the state of the nation CARE ( Christian Action, Research & Education ) produce a quarterly prayer guide which has separate daily entries on all aspects of national life - free copies can be obtained by writing to CARE, 53, Romney Street, London, SW1P 3RF. An example is the entry for Friday 1st June, where the area covered is teenage sexuality:
" Pray for pharmacists and school nurses who may come under pressure to administer the morning after pill to underage girls. Ask God to help them to do what is right so that young people will not treat the risk of pregnancy lightly. " We believe this prayer guide to be a very useful tool in the discipline of daily prayer for the United Kingdom.|
" We need to live in the light of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. To live as people whose lives have been so transformed by the living Christ that it is evident for all to see. " |

We do encourage all who partner us in worship at Celebrate to pray for the
services and prayer initiatives and their impact on both unbelievers and
believers alike, particularly in the areas of the Gospel message, prayer
and relational unity.
2 Corinthians 8 v16 tells of Titus having
the same concerns put on his heart by God as Paul had for Corinth - please
pray that God will likewise put His concerns into the hearts of many more
across the Towns.
