Medway Celebrate is a worship and outreach service held every Wednesday
lunchtime
from 12.35 - 13.30 at The Emmaus Church Centre, Clover Street, Chatham,
Kent, U.K.
Each week we invite guest worship leaders (many of whom are well known and
respected Christian singer / songwriters) to lead our meeting and encourage us to stand
together as members of the same family of God.
We also work with Churches Together in Medway in facilitating
Medway Prayer
Net which captures the " Neighbourhood Watch & Pray " ( prayer lighthouses ),
School Prayer Network and neighbourhood prayer groups, three times a year we jointly produce
The Medway Towns Prayer Guide.
We aim to serve Christians working in the Chatham town centre, acting
as a midweek spiritual 'oasis' and a place to bring along interested work colleagues
to hear more about the Gospel.
We also seek to both encourage and resource prayer / CU groups in the town’s business
houses, shops etc. and would love to hear from any folk currently working in the area
in this respect.
Tea and coffee are available before and after the meetings,
during which you are welcome to eat your lunch.
Medway Celebrate is advertised on both Premier and UCB radio and
worked in partnership with Harvest Evangelism, Argentina to host the "
Compassion For Kent " prayer conference. Recordings of the weekly services
are broadcast on Medway Hospital Radio.
We also meet for prayer before each Celebrate meeting at The
Emmaus Church Centre from 11.45 - 12.30 and share in the morning prayer
sessions held every Friday from 6.15 to 7.15 at The Christian Centre,
204 Napier Road, Gillingham, Kent. There are also various half nights
of prayer and evening events that are arranged around the Medway area
throughout the year.
Medway Celebrate is funded by voluntary donations, please
see the
Footnote page if you want more details.
